Housekeeping Assistant – Part Time – 30hrs
Are you the sort of person who notices the small things; tidy corners, refreshed bathrooms, clean laundry, a pleasant scent in the air and who takes pride in making a home feel welcoming?
We’re looking for a Housekeeping Assistant to join our clients’ team in their Care Home in Coatbridge on a part-time basis (30 hours per week). This role is all about creating clean, safe, comfortable spaces for others; because when your surroundings feel right, everything else runs better too.
What you’ll be doing
- Keeping living areas spotless and presentable; ensuring rooms and communal spaces are maintained to a consistently high standard.
- Cleaning and sanitisingkitchens, bathrooms, floors, and touchpoints using appropriate methods and products.
- Maintaining laundry routines; washing, drying, folding, and ensuring items are handled carefully and stored correctly.
- Supporting a calm, organised environment by following cleaning schedules and completing tasks within agreed timeframes.
- Reporting any maintenance concerns promptly so issues can be addressed quickly.
- Following health and safety guidelines, including correct use of equipment and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
- Respecting residents’ privacy and working in a considerate, discreet way always.
What we’re looking for
- Experience in housekeeping, domestic cleaning in a similar role (helpful, not always essential).
- A strong eye for detail and the ability to maintain high standards consistently.
- Good time management; able to work through tasks methodically and meet deadlines.
- A respectful, patient approach with a genuine desire to make a positive difference.
- Confidence using cleaning equipment and products safely.
- Reliability and a can-do attitude, even when routines are busy or schedules shift.
What’s on Offer
- Part Time: 30 hours per week (7am-3pm and/or 11am-7pm on a rotational basis)
- Pay: £12.71 per hour
