Job Description

Housekeeper Royal Hotel Part-Time

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Housekeeper to join our team at the Royal Hotel in Cumnock. This is a zero hours position, with typical working hours expected to be around 12-16 hours per week, depending on business needs. As part of our Housekeeping Team, you will play a key role in ensuring our guests enjoy a clean, comfortable, and welcoming stay. Typical shifts will be scheduled between7:00am and 3:00pm.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Cleaning all public areas of the hotel to the highest standards.
  • Servicing and preparing guest bedrooms, ensuring rooms are immaculate and ready for arrivals.
  • Fulfilling special guest requests where required.
  • Completing room checks and associated housekeeping documentation.
  • Reporting maintenance issues promptly to the Duty Manager.
  • Identifying and reporting any concerns regarding guest misuse of hotel facilities.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and hazard free environment for guests and colleagues.
  • Working closely with the Head Housekeeper and Duty Manager to ensure exceptional presentation standards throughout the hotel.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous housekeeping or professional cleaning experience is desirable.
  • A reliable, hard working, and punctual individual with a positive attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a supportive team.
  • Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and busy periods as required.
