Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced House Keeper to join our skilled and dynamic team to work within Ward 34.

Ward 34 is the regional inpatient facility for Haematology/Oncology patients. It is a very busy, fast paced, acute ward that cares for patients with acute and chronic Haematology/Oncology diagnoses including cancer, patients with sepsis and those receiving intensive chemotherapy. We admit patients straight from home for either elective care or emergency care.

You will be a team player with excellent communication skills and able to work as part of a team or on your own initiative. You will be adaptable and able to work in a fast paced environment. You will be expected to provide support to the Senior Charge nurse and the ward team by carrying out House Keeping duties within the ward.

Previous experience working as a Housekeeper in an acute hospital setting or as a HCSW is required.

The hours for this post are worked Monday-Friday over 4 days and may include rotation to other parts of the Haematology/Oncology service within NHS Fife.
