Light to Heavy Vehicle Technician Ayr
£35,000 £45,000 DOE (£18ph) + Overtime + Bonus Rotating Shifts Early Finish Fridays
We re recruiting for a Light to Heavy Vehicle Technician to join a modern, well-equipped workshop in Ayr. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technician looking to progress from light vehicles into HGVs, with full training, qualifications, and long-term career development provided.

Working Pattern
Rotating shifts with early Friday finishes:
Dayshift:
Mon Thurs: 08 45
Fri: 08 30
Backshift:
Mon Thurs: 14 30
Fri: 12 00
Optional overtime:
Saturday (after backshift week): 07 00
The Role
- Service, maintain & repair LCVs and HGVs
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical & electronic faults
- Carry out MOT prep & DVSA safety inspections
- Complete warranty work to manufacturer standards
- Accurately record all work using digital systems
- Work collaboratively to maintain workshop efficiency
About You
- Experience with light commercial vehicles and/or HGVs
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
- Strong diagnostic skills and a proactive attitude
- Keen to develop, upskill, and progress your career
