Job Description

Connect Appointments are working with a nationally recognised client to recruit for a HGV Mechanic on a permanent basis in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire!

Salary: 36,000 to 42,000 per annum (regular overtime available)

Working as a HGV Mechanic:

  • Carry out diagnostic repairs, ensuring a high degree of accuracy and quality in the work completed
  • Relining brake pads, changing airbags, replacing valves, and more
  • Complying with time recording procedures and ensure that job cards are completed accurately

  • Any other duties required to keep the workshop running effectively

The successful HGV Mechanic will have:

  • Previous experience of maintenance work on trailers, tankers and other types of units
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • The ability to work effectively in a team
