HGV Driver – 6 month FTC

Job Description

  • Operate company HGVs safely and efficiently between sites
  • Carry out pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Maintain accurate records of driving hours, mileage, and deliveries
  • Manage the movement and yard coordination of full and empty containers/trailers
  • Adhere to Transport Operating Licence requirements and company procedures
  • Comply with all Health & Safety, Environmental, and Customs & Excise legislation
  • Follow ISO 9001, BRC, and HMRC standards and report any non-conformances
  • Liaise with internal teams including Despatch, Loading, and Vat Hall Coordinators
  • Contribute to team meetings, continuous improvement activities, and problem-solving initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and support team performance objectives

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Valid HGV licence (Class 1 or 2)
  • Valid ADR Class 3 Licence required.
  • Current Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Good understanding of transport legislation and compliance requirements
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality standards
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • A dependable, flexible, and professional approach
