Job Description

Position Overview

The HGV Class 1 Driver role based in Lockerbie offers consistent work with a single client. The pay ranges between £16.84 and £25.50 per hour, depending on shift type. This full-time, temporary position requires a valid C+E licence and involves safely operating heavy goods vehicles.

Drivers may choose from flexible shift patterns, including days, nights, and weekends, with enhanced rates for less socially favourable hours.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles in line with all road and safety regulations.
  • Complete deliveries and collections efficiently and on time.
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
  • Maintain accurate records, including tachograph and delivery paperwork.
  • Deliver a professional and reliable service on behalf of the client.

Requirements

  • Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence.
  • Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Previous HGV driving experience preferred.
  • Good knowledge of driver hours and regulations.
  • Flexible approach to work, including availability for weekend shifts.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
