Position Overview

Drymen Medical Practice are looking for a part time Healthcare Assistant/Phlebotomist to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Support GP s and nurses with a range of clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, taking blood pressure readings and carrying out NHS Health Checks.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date patient records.
  • Prepare clinical rooms and equipment.
  • Promote health and wellbeing and support infection prevention and control measures.
  • Ensure patients receive safe, compassionate and professional care while contributing to the efficient day to day running of the practice.
  • Taking and recording patients’ vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height and weight).
  • Collect blood samples (phlebotomy) and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
  • Carry out routine health checks and urine testing.

The hours will be over 2-3 mornings per week.
