Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Advisor to support the safe delivery of a major highways project in Perth.
The HSE Advisor will work closely with site teams and management to promote a positive safety culture, ensure compliance with legislative requirements, and drive continual improvement in health, safety and environmental performance.
Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day HSE advice and support to site and project teams

Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE legislation, standards and company procedures

Carry out regular site inspections, audits and behavioural safety observations

Support the development, implementation and review of risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work

Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, producing reports and identifying corrective actions

Deliver HSE briefings, toolbox talks and training where required

Monitor environmental controls, waste management and sustainability initiatives on site

Support client and stakeholder HSE requirements and attend meetings as required

Assist with internal and external audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Promote a strong safety-first culture across all levels of the organisation
Skills & Experience
-
Previous experience in a similar HSE / SHE / QHSE Advisor role within construction or civil engineering

Strong working knowledge of UK HSE legislation and best practice

Experience working on live construction sites

Confident communicator able to influence and engage site teams

Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload across multiple sites
Qualifications

NEBOSH General Certificate (essential)

NEBOSH Construction Certificate (desirable)

IOSH membership or working towards

CSCS Card (relevant to role)

Full UK Driving Licence
