Role Overview

You will be based at our site in Forth, Lanark, with a requirement to visit our Lathallan facility in Falkirk.

On offer is a days-based role, working Monday – Friday, where you can expect ongoing training and accredited qualifications.

You will be responsible for overseeing the Health and Safety performance of the company, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety legislation, assessing current business practices and developing strategies to improve and meet targets.

Key Duties

The key duties of this Health and Safety Manager role include:

  • Monitor the organisation’s Health and Safety performance against internal and external targets and manage obligations under a wide range of laws and regulations.
  • Take a lead role in developing, maintaining, and delivering Health & Safety compliance activities.
  • Develop and maintain the company’s Health and Safety management system, ensuring it aligns with ISO 45001.
  • Take a lead role in coordinating internal and external audits by developing and monitoring the company’s Health & Safety audit schedule.
  • Undertake audits of Levenseat’s Operational Areas, processes and procedures. Produce audit reports that provide clear and concise information on audit findings, non-conformities, risks, and priorities.
  • Participate in developing operational and support staff by delivering workshops and briefings to staff at various levels.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including government agencies and regulatory bodies.
  • Work with the wider team to implement strategies to ensure Health & Safety compliance is prioritised and championed at all levels within the organisation.

Essential Skills

  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
  • Auditor qualification
  • Experience working with ISO-accredited management systems
  • Driving licence
