Key Responsibilities
- Member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) supporting the delivery of WHA’s vision, values, business plan and objectives.
- Lead and manage the Property Services Team, including strategy development, operational delivery, and team management.
- Oversee the planning, development, and implementation of property services policies and programs to meet community needs and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure value for money is embedded to deliver cost effective services and the efficient use of resources.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Management Committee members and external stakeholders.
- Ensure effective management and delivery of an excellent reactive, planned and cyclical repairs and maintenance service to fully comply with statutory and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs.
- Drive innovation, particularly in areas of Net Zero compliance.
- Lead and mentor a dedicated team of maintenance and customer services professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
- Ensure compliance with all tenant safety and housing quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior management role, ideally in the public sector or in a charitable housing organisation.
- Strong knowledge of housing property policy, legislation, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse workforce.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with a focus on partnership building and community engagement.
- Ability to think strategically, balancing long term goals with day to day operational needs.
- A relevant professional qualification (e.g., CIH, RICS, CIOB or equivalent) is essential.
