The Head of Procurement will be responsible for the overall management of the procurement & supply chain function, ensuring optimal procurement strategies for a leading manufacturing company. This role demands an innovative approach to streamline operations and maximise financial performance.

Description

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that support business objectives.
  • Manage supplier relationships and contract negotiations to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Drive innovation in procurement processes for efficiency and cost savings.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure their requirements are met.
  • Assess and manage risks associated with supply chain operations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Prepare and manage the procurement budget.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team.

Profile

A successful Head of Procurement should have:

  • A degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field or relevant experience
  • Previous success in delivering procurement strategy to deliver cost and efficiency benefits within a manufacturing industry.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data driven decisions.
  • Proven track record of improving and managing procurement processes.
  • Knowledge of procurement software and tools.
