Join our Grazing Team in the Crofting Commission and use your communication and analytical skills to make a meaningful impact supporting rural communities.

As a Grazings Officer, you will join the Crofting Commission’s Grazings team, working within an organisation dedicated to supporting Scotland’s crofting communities. The team’s mission is to oversee and support the effective management of over 1,000 common grazings, promoting sustainable grazing practices alongside environmental and climate objectives.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice and guidance to grazings committees and shareholders.
• Manage enquiries, process applications, and support training delivery.
• Occasionally visit grazings to engage directly with stakeholders.
• Support the core objective of ensuring grazings are effectively managed, supporting compliance while fostering strong, collaborative relationships across the crofting community.
