As an Engineer, Graduate , you will support the design and development of oilfield subsurface components, systems, and/or controls equipment. You will work under the close guidance of a Lead Engineer and designated Mentors, gaining hands on experience while contributing to engineering activities in line with company standards, competence frameworks, and work instructions. This role provides a structured environment to develop your technical, professional, and safety competencies while supporting design, manufacturing, and verification activities.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the creation of layouts, functional component specifications, stack up evaluations, and assembly procedures
  • Interpreting customer engineering specifications to produce layout, detail, and assembly designs
  • Assisting with the creation of work packs, reviewing detail drawings, and supporting small engineering teams under supervision
  • Developing conceptual design requirements and layouts following Design Process Management (DPM) protocols
  • Creating detail, fabrication, and assembly drawings in accordance with ASME Y14.5 standards
  • Modifying and creating 3D models and drawings to manufacturing standards using parametric design practices
  • Supporting manufacturing through application of design for manufacture principles for machining, welding, and assembly
  • Creating Bills of Materials (BOMs) within documentation systems for engineer approval
  • Participating in design verification activities, including tolerance studies, manufacturability reviews, and basic calculations
  • Supporting Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Prototype Verification Test (PVT) procedures and documenting results
  • Ensuring design documentation and data are accurately archived in electronic document management systems
  • Identifying opportunities to improve existing products, processes, and procedures in a cost effective manner

Requirements

  • Have a BSc or MSc degree in Mechanical or a related engineering discipline
  • Have a basic understanding of engineering design principles, verification processes, and risk assessment
  • Have knowledge of materials, including metals, elastomers, welding, and heat treatment processes
  • Have awareness of relevant industry standards and engineering codes
  • Be conscientious, adaptable, and eager to learn in a structured engineering environment
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Be able to work effectively within a team while responding professionally to changing work demands
  • Have familiarity with engineering design tools, calculation software, and PDM/document management systems
