Our Systems Specialists manage and maintain the core solutions which support the entire airport operation. From critical resource management (ERP) to flight information displays and bag drop solutions. We provide in depth subject matter expertise on the technical solutions and the operational procedures they support. We work closely with our airport colleagues to get the best from the systems we have, to drive innovation and continuous improvement. Problem solving and finding creative solutions via technology, to deliver high quality operations and valuable data, is a large part of what we do.

In a graduate role, you will also be exposed to other technical disciplines and teams to help broaden your airport knowledge, whilst adding value to our organisation.

What you’ll be doing

  • Work alongside existing systems experts on day to day tasks and management of core solutions
  • You will learn from our IT specialists and managers, who will coach and mentor you throughout your 24 month programme
  • You will get involved in various IT projects and initiatives that support the airport’s operations and growth plans.
  • Work with airport teams and partners to understand their roles and responsibilities
  • Play a role in active projects to deliver new or upgraded systems
  • Take on responsibility for delivering improvements to minor airport systems
  • Assist in the design of changes and enhancements to core airport systems, with responsibility for ensuring enhancements deliver technically and operationally.
  • Pro actively seek out and recommend improvements

What we’re looking for

  • To have completed or be about to complete a technology related degree, or you have a strong interest in technology and a degree in another discipline.
  • This role requires the successful candidate to obtain a Counter Terrorist Check, so you must have been living in the UK for the last 3 consecutive years.
