Band 4 – Assistant Practitioner – Outreach Services

Exciting opportunities are available to join the RHCYP Outreach service. We have Assistant Practitioner positions available for unregistered nurses working across Lothian and we are looking for passionate, caring, motivated people to join our team.

Posts available – Full Time and Part time hours available (this can be discussed at interview)

Shift Pattern – Days, Nights and Weekends

The Outreach Service aims to support families with children who have Exceptional Health Care Needs. The children and young people have varied individual needs, many are technology dependent, most are chronically ill with limited life expectancy and exceptional health care needs. All children and young people have an individual package of care and the aim is to provide high quality, consistent and continuous care and therefore help the family live as normal a life as possible.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
