Job Description
Job description
Disclosure Scotland provides criminal record checking services to individuals and organisations to support safer recruitment and protect vulnerable groups. We provide a key societal service, both protecting vulnerable people and assisting other people to safely get back to work and contribute to society. We are currently developing and continuously improving our service based on user needs.
This is a great opportunity to help transform the way the government provides this critical public service to safeguard children and vulnerable adults. The role will be positioned inside the digital and service delivery team and will operate under an agile delivery framework. As a key member of the team, you will support the delivery of the Disclosure Scotland future roadmap and will be deeply involved in the delivery of digital services and new legislation.
We have a team of Product Managers on site that will support the successful applicant as well as a number of subject matter experts to provide detailed knowledge on Disclosure Scotland and our systems. Product Managers at Disclosure Scotland lead multidisciplinary teams of developers, designers and analysts making and delivering services that meet user needs in a cost effective way. Product Managers are responsible for the quality of their products. They communicate credibly with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. They define, own and solve problems, using their knowledge of user needs and business goals to set priorities for their delivery teams. They work closely with other members of the wider delivery team, interpreting findings to make correct product decisions.
The product manager will understand the impact of these decisions on their specific product and the overall delivery of Disclosure Scotland systems and processes.
