General Metal Fabricator
East Kilbride, South Lanarkshire
The Company
Serving some of the UK’s most recognisable brands, Merson Signs is an expert designer, manufacturer and installer of signs.
The Role
As a General Metal Fabricator, you will manufacture and assemble high-quality sheet metal components for signs. Ensuring every product is produced safely, accurately and to specification, you will fabricate, form and assemble metal components. You will also interpret engineering drawings to produce precision work that meets required tolerances and quality standards.
- Set up and operate fabrication equipment
- Carry out routine checks to support efficient production
- Identify and report defects or non-conformances
- Maintain production and quality records
- Report hazards, equipment issues and near misses promptly

About You
- Previous experience in sheet metal fabrication or manufacturing
- Fabricating and/or welding experience with aluminium sheet and extrusions
- Competency in welding disciplines MIG and/or TIG
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Competency in the use of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication machinery
- A strong understanding of workshop health and safety requirements
