Job Description

A passionate and commercially savvy general manager is needed to lead The Bridge Inn, an award-winning pub, restaurant, and four-bedroom inn located in Ratho, just outside Edinburgh.

With its picturesque canal-side setting, 1 AA Rosette-awarded seasonal menus, and a carefully curated drinks list, The Bridge Inn is a well-loved destination known for its locally sourced produce, warm hospitality, and high-quality dining experience.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the daily operations of the pub, restaurant, and rooms, ensuring a seamless guest experience.
  • Maintain high food and drink quality standards, ensuring seasonality and sustainability are reflected in all offerings.
  • Drive marketing and social media campaigns to attract and retain guests.
  • Oversee financial performance, including gross profit margins, cost control, and wage management.
  • Build and develop a motivated, engaged, and high-performing team.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and licensing laws.
  • Bring fresh ideas, creativity, and innovation to enhance the guest experience.

  • Drinks expertise – Knowledge of wine, craft ales, and cocktails to develop an exciting drinks list.
