Job Title: Freelance Mechanical Project Manager
Location: Stamford, UK
Rate: £350 – £380 per day
Duration: 2 Months
Hours: 9 Hours per Day
We are currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to oversee mechanical works on a commercial project in Stamford. This is a short-term contract with immediate start available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate all mechanical subcontractors on site, including Pipefitters, plumbers, AC Engineers, Ducting teams, BMS Integration teams
- Oversee the commissioning of all mechanical systems.
- Ensure works are delivered to specification, within budget, and on time.
- Liaise with the client and main contractor to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Attend site meetings and provide technical support as needed.
- Review drawings and technical submittals, providing input and resolution to on-site challenges.
Requirements:
- SMSTS certification (essential)
- Strong technical background in mechanical building services
- Previous experience on healthcare projects (beneficial but not essential)
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Proven experience delivering commercial mechanical installations
