Job Description
Contract: 6-9 months, outside IR35, rate DOE, Glasgow, 2 days on-site
Responsibilities:
- Support in the design of Altera FPGA firmware for an embedded medical device
- Work with an Agilex 5 SoC, focusing on the FPGA/fabric side
- Implement high speed data protocols, potentially including LPDDR4x, serialised ADC data over LVDS, AXI bus
- Write testbenches for FPGA design verification
- Simulate and verify functionality of the design
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary technical team to reduce the technical design timeline
- Documentation of design to meet requirements of ISO13485 (Quality management system for medical devices)
Essential Skills:
- Knowledge of FPGA development, particularly Altera FPGAs
- Quartus & Modelsim/Questasim
- VHDL
- Testbench design, both module and top-level
- RTL and gate-level simulation of testbenches
- Revision control systems, particularly Github
