Responsibilities

  • Carry out practical forest management and estate maintenance tasks including tree felling, inspections, fencing, vegetation management, weed control, and maintenance of footpaths, signage, and visitor facilities.
  • Support colleagues across harvesting, environment and wildlife management teams, delivering materials, repairing infrastructure and maintaining key sites.
  • Work hands on, predominantly outdoors; requiring strong teamwork, problem solving and commitment to safety.
  • Participate in wider land management activities such as planting, forest maintenance, habitat restoration, peatland management and visitor facilities support.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Proven experience working outdoors in forestry, construction or landscaping.
  • Understanding of health and safety in the workplace.
  • Valid UK driving licence (or suitable alternative); occasional regional travel may be required.
  • Evidence of essential and desirable criteria as detailed in attached job description and success profile document.
