Folder/Gluer Machine Operator Join Compack Cartons, a leading carton and packaging manufacturer, as we expand our production team in Livingston. We re looking for an experienced Bobst or Jagenberg Folder/Gluer Operator to run state-of-the-art machines in our modern £15m facility. At Compack Cartons, we re specialists in high-quality cartons and packaging, supplying to major UK and international brands. You ll be setting up and operating Bobst / Jagenberg -folder/gluer machinery to produce multi-point glued cartons, working with HHS hot and cold glue extrusion systems to meet exacting customer quality standards. You ll collaborate closely with a supportive production team in a workplace known for high staff retention and strong teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and maintain folder/gluer machines for the production of high-quality cartons.
- Operate and maintain hot and cold glue extrusion and detection systems (HHS).
- Carry out quality control checks to customer specifications.
- Work collaboratively with packing and quality staff to achieve production targets.
- Maintain safe and efficient working practices at all times.
What We re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Bobst or Jagenberg Folder/Gluer Machine Operator in the box or carton packaging industry
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
- A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
- Willingness to adapt to future shift patterns as the business grows.
Hours & Location:
- Current hours: Monday Thursday, 07 15; Friday, 07 45 (38 hours per week).
- Future flexibility: Potential to move to a two-shift system AM/PM shift as production expands but this won t be in the immediate future
- Location: Grange Road, Livingston EH54, Scotland. Free onsite parking.
Pay & Benefits:
- £12.90 £17.50 per hour (depending on experience).
- Overtime at time and a half; double time after four hours on weekends
- 29 days holiday (including bank holidays) with Christmas shutdown (8 10 days).
