Finance Manager – (Part-time) Glasgow

Be-Resourcing is seeking a dedicated and purpose-led Finance Manager for a permanent part-time role (21 hours per week) at a leading Glasgow-based Charity who provide support to families in need. This position would best suit an individual that can expertly maintain the financial reporting system of the Charity whilst supporting the team through a period of growth and change.

The successful individual will manage all operational aspects of the online system QuickBooks, oversee day-to-day accounting activities, and facilitate financial planning and reporting in compliance with charity regulations. Additionally, the Finance Manager will work closely with the management team to prepare and maintain budgets and provide financial insights for reporting and decision-making processes. This role would be suitable for anyone seeking part-time hours such as a working parent or semi-retired professional with a keen interested in the Third Sector, that would fit the overall ethos of the team and align themselves with the Charity mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an effective financial reporting system to meet organisational needs.
  • Oversee QuickBooks operations to ensure functionality and effectiveness.
  • Manage day-to-day accounting, cash flow, banking, payment, and reporting functions.
  • Facilitate monthly payroll and ensure compliance with all financial requirements.
  • Produce monthly management accounts and update cash flow statements.
  • Support financial grant management systems and compliance with funding agreements.
  • Provide financial information for Annual accounts preparation and collaboration with the Board and Treasurer.
  • Monitor and analyse financial data to aid strategic decision-making.
  • Participate in Board and Management Team meetings as required.
  • Adhere to financial controls and Charity policies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Accounts Payable/Receivable/Billings.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management within the charity sector.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
  • Ability to analyse financial data and communicate findings effectively.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Commitment to the charity s vision and values.
