Family Law Senior Solicitor / Associate
- Location: Glasgow, G2
- Job Type: Hybrid (On-site 2 days per week)
A prestigious legal firm in central Glasgow is seeking a Family Law Senior Solicitor or Associate to join their dynamic Family Department and play a key role within the team.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage a diverse caseload involving high-value private law cases across Divorce, Finance, and Child Law.
- Handle matters including financial provision, divorce, child custody, child relocation, and court of session work.
- Work closely with clients who often have small businesses or complex matrimonial estates.
- Engage in mediation and prepare various legal agreements such as pre-nuptial, post-nuptial, and separation agreements.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior colleagues, enhancing supervision skills.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A qualified Solicitor with ideally 3+ years post-qualification experience in Family Law (others are encouraged to apply.)
- Strong background in managing high-value, private law cases.
- Experience in financial provision, divorce, and child-related cases.
- Interest and capability to train in mediation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of nurturing client relationships and mentoring junior staff.
- Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of working autonomously or as part of a team.
