Job Description

LOCATION: Gyle Shopping Centre

SHIFT PATTERN: 40 Hours per week, 5 days over 7

PAY RATE: £13.55 per hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the high standards at Gyle Shopping Centre and be proactive to deal with issues as they arise, including the car park, service areas and walkways.
  • Assist customers & retailers when required.
  • Assist in emergency situations.
  • Retrieve trolleys from the car park and transfer them to trolley bays.
  • Ensure that the trolley bays are kept clean and free from rubbish.
  • Attend to external duties and other reasonable associated tasks within the carpark area and any other areas as directed by supervisors and managers.
  • Be flexible and responsive to changing daily priorities to fulfill requirements.
  • Have knowledge of all trolleys and collection related tasks so that at the start of the shift current scheduled activity is supported without specific direction.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Sound communication skills.
  • Clean driving licence – not essential.
  • Demonstrate initiative in the absence of supervision, accepting responsibility.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, building codes and other compliance policies.
  • Execute duties in a manner that minimises incidents and accidents within the department.
  • Availability throughout the duration of the designated shift.
