Mechanical Design Engineer Location: Dundee, UK Salary: £52,000 £62,400 + overtime per annum + overtime Relocation Assistance Available
We re recruiting on behalf of a leading global technology business, offering a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their multidisciplinary engineering team in Dundee. You ll play a key role in the design, development, and support of complex electro-mechanical systems used, working closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and international stakeholders.

What you ll be doing:
- Support the full lifecycle of media-handling devices from concept to implementation
- Deliver cost-effective designs to meet performance specifications
- Evaluate technologies and provide design recommendations backed by analysis
- Work with international suppliers and internal teams to refine and manufacture components
- Lead design reviews and apply mechanical principles such as stress, tolerance, and mechanism analysis
- Release work packages using internal change control systems with full documentation
What we re looking for:
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering (2:1 or higher preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical design
- Familiarity with CAD tools such as ProE/Creo or SolidWorks
- Understanding of drive systems, sheet metal, plastics, and tooling
- Experience designing mechanisms and working with PCBs/harnesses is a plus
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
