First Achieve’s Engineering Division are seeking an Estimator for their client who are a leading brand in Engineering working across Oil & Gas, Construction and many more

As an Estimator at AIM Group, your primary role will be to provide accurate and competitive cost estimates for structural steel and pipework projects. You will leverage your industry expertise to evaluate project requirements, prepare detailed cost breakdowns, and support the sales team in securing new business. Having an existing customer base will be highly desirable for this role.

The salary on offer for this role is 45,000.

The Role:

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for structural steel projects, including materials, labour, equipment, and overheads.
• Evaluate project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand the scope and requirements of the project.
• Actively engage with clients to understand their needs, provide project estimates, and negotiate terms to secure contracts.
• Develop and submit comprehensive bid proposals that clearly outline the cost structure and project timeline.
• Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, material costs, and competitive pricing strategies
• Maintain accurate records of all estimates, proposals, and client interactions
• Carry out site surveys as required at client locations.

Experience:

• Proven experience in estimating for structural steel projects
• Strong understanding of industry standards, materials, and construction methods
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
