Job Description

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Estimator with skills in Plumbing & Heating to join our team in Edinburgh. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and communication skills, as well as a strong understanding of plumbing and heating systems. You will be expected to compile and prepare accurate and detailed tenders for heating and plumbing packages on commercial, residential and industrial projects


– Prepare detailed estimates for plumbing and heating projects

– Review project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and materials required

– Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to gather pricing information

– Analyse cost data to determine project feasibility and profitability

– Prepare and present project proposals to clients

– Monitor project costs throughout the construction process

– Ensure that all work complies with relevant building codes and regulations


– Proven experience as an Estimator in the Plumbing & Heating industry

– Excellent analytical and communication skills

– Strong understanding of plumbing and heating systems

– Familiarity with relevant building codes and regulations

– Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Estimating software

– Ability to work independently and as part of a team

– Strong attention to detail and accuracy

– Good organizational and time management skills
