Job Description

Our client is a busy sub-contractor to the housebuildng sector and looking to secure an estimator, intially for a 6 month fixed-term contract, providing services across the Scottish Housebuilding region.

Responsibilities:

– Perform detailed material take-offs from engineering drawings and specifications.

– Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.

– Analyze project requirements and identify cost-saving opportunities.

– Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors.

– Maintain accurate records of estimates and project costs.

– Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Requirements:

– Proven experience in material take-offs and estimating within the construction industry.

– Strong analytical and mathematical skills.

– Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

– Excellent communication and organizational skills.

– Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Duration: 6 month fixed-term contract
