The role what youll be doing
- Lead, coach and develop a team of 5 design engineers, setting objectives, managing workload and driving a high-performance, collaborative culture.
- Own the design-to-manufacture process from models, drawings, BOMs and routings through to production engineering support, ensuring products are delivered right first time and on time.
- Act as the technical link between Engineering, Sales, Production, Purchasing and Quality, turning customer requirements and performance data into robust, manufacturable solutions.
- Drive change, compliance and continuous improvement, managing design changes, ensuring regulatory standards are met and using testing/prototype data and shop-floor feedback to improve quality, cost and lead times.
- Plan and manage engineering resources and budgets, contributing as part of thesenior management teamto support growth, profitability and long-term strategy.
About you
- ProvenEngineering Manager(or similar) withminimum 3 years in a leadership role, ideally leading design/engineering teams.
- Strong technical background from acomplex / high-variation manufacturing environment.
- Confident people leader able to motivate, mentor and develop engineers while holding clear standards.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and representing Engineering at senior level.
