Assistant Corrosion Engineer
Engineering and Corrosion department, Oceaneering Europe – Aberdeen, Scotland, Europe.
Responsibilities
- Provide corrosion engineering support services to assigned assets and/or clients, participate in and report upon those services, and develop experience toward professional engineer status.
- Assist Team Leader, Senior Corrosion, and Senior Inspection Engineers in delivering timely and high quality inspection and integrity services to clients.
- Identify technical requirements and obligations within specific client contracts and undertake tasks such as developing Key Performance Indicators (KPI), Corrosion Control Matrices (CCM), and determining corrosion loops, circuits and systems.
- Develop and produce high quality technical communications in oral and written form.
- Assist in producing ad hoc, periodic and annual integrity reports and statements, including Weekly Chemical Summaries where appropriate.
- Produce reports on corrosion monitoring services, workscopes and workpacks as directed.
- Produce pipework inspection workscopes and workpacks under direction of Senior Corrosion and Inspection Engineers.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; relevant oilfield experience.
