Job Description
Responsibilities
- Under limited supervision, perform aftermarket electronic and mechanical repair of assorted components and instruments by testing and troubleshooting to determine the cause of failure.
- Conduct functional, operational, and environmental testing of products, equipment, and circuitry.
- Analyze and interpret test data at component and system levels.
- Enter data and provide written reports on test and troubleshooting findings.
- Read and follow schematic drawings.
Qualifications
- Degree, HNC or HND in Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Basic mechanical and electronic experience with an emphasis on electronic skills.
- Knowledge of the principles of electronics and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience testing electronic assemblies using traditional tools such as multimeter, oscilloscope, and power supply.
- Experience using a variety of hand tools and machine shop tools, including soldering iron and hand drill.
- Basic MS Office skills: Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to follow written and verbal procedures and instructions; read schematics.
- Ability to deal with frequent change, delays, unexpected events or ambiguity; able to multi task to complete repair activities.
- Excellent analytical skills and sound judgment to ensure error free repairs.
- Experience repairing, testing, and fault finding on electronic products.
Shift Schedule
Two week cycles: 2 weeks of dayshift followed by 2 weeks of backshift, working 37 hours per week.Dayshift: 7:00-15:15 Mon Thurs, 7:00-13:30 Fri.Backshift: 15:00-23:15 Mon Thurs, 13:15-19:45 Fri.
