Job Description

Electrical Technician
Location: Livingston
Salary: £31,991 £7,997 shift allowance (Total £39,989)
Hours: 37 per week (shift rotation)

We are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Technician to join a leading manufacturing environment. You’ll play a key role in maintaining plant equipment and ensuring maximum uptime across operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned, preventative, and reactive electrical maintenance
  • Diagnose faults and repair plant equipment including presses, furnaces, and machinery
  • Perform electrical installations, inspections, and testing
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Support continuous improvement and predictive maintenance activities
  • Ensure high standards of health, safety, and compliance

Requirements:

  • Time-served Electrician (City & Guilds / Level 3 / HNC or equivalent)
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Experience in industrial electrical maintenance environments
  • Knowledge of medium voltage systems and maintenance programmes
  • Ability to read technical drawings and use test equipment
  • Flexible approach and ability to work shifts

Desirable:

  • Experience in heavy manufacturing or production environments
