Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Engineer to join a growing technical team in Ayr. This is an exciting opportunity to work with market-leading equipment both on-site and in a dedicated workshop environment. The role involves a variety of tasks, from installing and servicing brine saturator plants to maintaining salt spreaders and snow ploughs.
This is a day shift role working Monday – Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled maintenance and respond to breakdowns
- Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Log all activities and maintain accurate records
- Manage stock levels of parts and supplies
- Install, maintain, modify, and repair electrical systems
- Interpret wiring diagrams and manufacturer manuals
- Complete work orders and document materials used
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical qualification in mechanical/electrical engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Strong practical and hands-on problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team under pressure
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
- Willingness to travel at short notice across the UK
- Full UK driving licence
- IPAF certification (desirable but not essential)
- Automotive experience (beneficial but not essential)
