Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Working Location: Hybrid – Aberdeen
Contract Type: Inside IR35
Start Date: ASAP
Industry Focus: Oil & Gas Operations Support Brownfield Assets
Key Responsibilities:
– Provide electrical engineering support to operations and maintenance teams
– Support fault finding, troubleshooting, and root cause investigations
– Assist with brownfield modifications and minor project activities
– Review electrical engineering documentation and technical deliverables
– Support maintenance strategies and reliability improvement initiatives
– Ensure compliance with engineering standards and HSE requirements
– Support shutdown and maintenance activities when required
– Participate in technical reviews, HAZOPs, and MOC activities
– Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering and offshore teams
– Liaise with vendors and contractors on technical scopes
Requirements:
– Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline
– Experience supporting live operational assets within oil & gas or energy sectors
– Strong understanding of LV/HV electrical systems and power distribution
– Previous experience within brownfield or operations support environments
– Familiarity with hazardous area equipment and offshore regulations
– Understanding of maintenance, reliability, and asset integrity principles
– Strong communication and problem-solving capability
– Offshore experience is beneficial
