Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Glasgow Up to £45,000 + Company Van + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays No Call Out Rota Minimal Out-of-Hours Work Monday-Friday Healthcare Contract 50% PPM / 50% Reactive The Opportunity

Join a leading facilities management company supporting a newly mobilised healthcare contract across veterinary clinics and care facilities throughout Glasgow.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking for genuine work-life balance. With no call out rota, very little out-of-hours working and most sites closing by 6pm, you’ll benefit from predictable working hours while maintaining a varied portfolio of clean, well-maintained commercial properties.

Although these are commercial sites, many are similar in size and layout to large residential buildings, providing a rewarding mix of planned and reactive maintenance work.

The Role

You’ll carry out electrical planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance across a portfolio of commercial healthcare sites.

Your workload is evenly split between:

  • 50% Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs)
  • 50% Reactive Maintenance

Typical duties include:

  • Electrical fault finding and repairs
  • Planned electrical maintenance
  • Emergency lighting testing
  • Fire alarm testing
  • Lighting and power repairs
  • Distribution board inspections
  • Small electrical installations
  • Inspection and testing
  • Compliance checks
  • Supporting general building maintenance where required

What We’re Looking For

  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Inspection & Testing qualification desirable
  • Experience within Facilities Management or commercial building maintenance
  • Full UK Driving Licence
