Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to join our team working on a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility near Montrose. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on complex pharmaceutical projects whilst developing your career within a leading engineering consultancy.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow engineering guidance to implement client standards on projects
- Apply best practices from previous client projects across all design work
- Generate electrical installation design drawing and document sets
- Develop panel design drawing and document sets
- Assist Electrical Engineers with design calculations, schedules and documentation
- Consult with Engineer for checks and approval of all designs
- Collaborate with other designers and engineers in the team
- Liaise with Document Control for external and internal project document transmittals
- Identify to Engineer any areas where technical support is required
- Ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Work to project timelines and task priorities as set by engineers
Required Qualifications
- HNC/HND or degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical design for industrial, manufacturing or pharmaceutical facilities
- Thorough knowledge of BS7671 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations)
- Proficient in AutoCAD and other relevant electrical design software such as Trimble (AmTech)
- Experience with power distribution systems and control panel design
- Understanding of requirements within pharmaceutical environments
