A unique opportunity has arisen for a support worker to join the Lochaber Community Mental health Team in the stunning rural location of Lochaber.

The Lochaber Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service is looking for a motivated and committed Recovery Service Support Worker to join our team and help deliver high-quality support to individuals, families, and communities across Lochaber.

As a Recovery Service Support Worker, you will work alongside experienced nursing and multidisciplinary staff to provide practical and emotional support to people accessing the service. You will play a key role in helping individuals engage with treatment and recovery services, while promoting health, wellbeing, and harm reduction.

The Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service provides specialist support to people experiencing difficulties with alcohol use, drug use, or both. We also offer advice and support to family members, carers, and professionals seeking guidance on how best to support someone affected by substance use.

Our service covers the Highland area and supports a diverse client group, including individuals with complex needs and those who may otherwise find it difficult to access health and social care services. Through our work, we create opportunities to address wider health and wellbeing issues alongside alcohol, drug, and harm reduction needs.

• Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Can work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Is able to build positive relationships with clients and partner agencies.
• Is committed to ongoing learning and professional development.

Previous experience working within health, social care, recovery, community support, or a related field would be advantageous, although training and support will be provided.
