Apex Resources are looking to speak with qualified Door Engineers within Glasgow and surrounding areas as travel may be required depending on workloads.
Shift: Dayshift
Pay : Ranging from 16- 19ph doe
- Experience within the industrial door industry is preferred
- Desirable qualifications include: IPAF, CSCS, PASMA and/or City & Guilds
- Full UK drivers licence
- Ability to communicate well
- Ability to read and understand general arrangement drawings and measure out appropriately
Key Duties/Responsibilities
- Mechanical installation ( plus electrical if qualified) of manual and electrical rolling and folding steel shutters and doors.
- Maintenance and proper use of all appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Carrying out activities in accordance project specific Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
- Completion of a Point of Work Risk Assessment prior to undertaking works.
- Manual handling and / or use of trolleys / bogies for horizontal transfer of materials.
- Measuring and drilling fixing holes in supporting structures as indicated on general arrangement drawings.
- At all times ensure that works are completed in a safe manner and that unfinished works are secure and do not pose a risk of damage to persons or property.
- Checking and testing products following completion of activities.
- Off-hire plant and equipment.
