Job Description

Location: Falkirk Community Hospital


Salary: £25,000 – £33,000 per annum (Pro-rata)


Job Type: Part-Time (17.5 Hours per Week)


Working Hours

  • Total Hours: 17.5 hours per week.
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM.


Key Responsibilities

  • Domestic Cleaning: Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the hospital.
  • Catering Duties: Assisting with food service and kitchen-related tasks.
  • Waste Management: Ensuring the safe and efficient disposal of waste materials.
  • Quality Service: Providing a high-quality, efficient service with minimal supervision.


Candidate Requirements

  • Motivation: You must be self-motivated and conscientious in your work.
  • Flexibility: The ability to be flexible and adapt to changing needs is essential.
  • Independence: You should be comfortable working independently and taking initiative.
  • PVG Scheme: The successful candidate must be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.

Important Employment Information

  • Hours Update: As of April 1, 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will reduce from 37 to 36 hours. Part time hours will be reduced pro rated, with a corresponding increase in the hourly rate to ensure pay remains unaffected.
