Domestic Assistant – Hotel Services Department

Band 2 £26,696 – £28,988 pro rata/per annum plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,461 pro rata/per annum.

Hours: Monday – Friday 13:00 – 19:00 (22.56 hours per week). Permanent post.

Location: Uist & Barra Hospital, Balivanich, Isle of Benbecula.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide cleaning services to patients, staff and visitors using effective and efficient methods to deliver a safe and welcoming environment, meeting the required standards as per the National Cleaning Services Specification.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Must achieve the Mandatory Induction Standards for Healthcare Support Workers within three months of full-time employment (or up to six months for part-time workers).
  • Must comply with the Code of Conduct.
  • Must register with the PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) Scheme.
  • This post is not eligible for relocation expenses or Sponsorship.
