Role Overview

Band 6 Diabetes Dietitian – Maternity cover (Fixed Term 0.8 WTE for 12 months)

Role

An exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Dietitian to provide maternity leave cover in the Adult Diabetes Dietetic Service. The post is primarily based within the outpatient service at New Victoria Hospital with flexibility to support services across Greater Glasgow and Clyde.

Key responsibilities include:

  • One to one dietetic consultations for adults with diabetes
  • Group education sessions, including structured diabetes education programmes
  • Contributing to pathway improvement and service development across the wider diabetes dietetic service
  • Supporting the development of dietetic practice placements in Scotland

Qualifications, Training and Experience

Applicants must have:

  • BSc Dietetics (or equivalent) and registration with the Health and Care Professionals Council
  • Membership of the British Dietetic Association and Professional and Vocational Education Group membership
  • Post graduate clinical experience in diverse dietetic settings within a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience delivering group education sessions and working with people living with diabetes
  • Evidence of audit experience and impact on practice
  • Clinical supervisory experience and development of group education at postgraduate level (desirable)
