Senior Field Support Officer / Project Engineer

Desktop Support Network Migrations

Contract

9-Month Contract (Perth/Field Based)

Rate

£400 p/d (Inside IR35)

Job Overview

Hands on engineer required to support multi site network migrations, including switch deployments, cabling, and end user device setup.

Key Responsibilities

  • Repatch/migrate devices to new network switches
  • Deliver cabling, patching, and rack installs in live environments
  • Validate connectivity and resolve issues post migration
  • Configure PCs/laptops (domain, builds, network settings)
  • Provide on site desktop support during migrations
  • Maintain accurate documentation and site records
  • Work with project teams, site contacts, and third parties

Skills & Experience

  • Field/desktop support or network engineering background
  • Strong cabling, patching, and install experience
  • Knowledge of network switching (Meraki desirable)
  • Windows device configuration in corporate environments
  • Able to work independently across multiple sites
  • Strong communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence

Additional Info

  • Site based with travel
  • Occasional out of hours work
  • Must have car and licence
