Job Description

At The Caledonian Edinburgh, exceptional housekeeping standards are central to our luxury guest experience. We are seeking a Deputy Head Housekeeper to support the leadership of the Housekeeping department, ensuring impeccable guest rooms, high-performing teams and consistent service excellence throughout the hotel

The Person:

  • An experienced housekeeping leader with a passion for luxury standards
  • Calm, confident and highly organised in a fast-paced environment
  • A supportive manager who coaches, develops and engages teams
  • Detail-driven with strong quality, productivity and commercial awareness
  • Adaptable, proactive and solutions-focused.

The Role:

  • Support the Head Housekeeper in leading daily housekeeping operations
  • Drive consistent guest room and public area standards
  • Champion service excellence, productivity and engagement
  • Lead by example during peak operational periods
  • Support succession planning, training and departmental development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise room quality, cleanliness standards and operational delivery
  • Coach and develop housekeeping teams to achieve performance targets
  • Monitor productivity, costs and supplier performance
  • Respond proactively to guest feedback and quality issues
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards, safety and sustainability policies.
