Job Description

Role Overview
We are working in partnership with a well-established organisation within a regulated industry to recruit a skilled Maintenance Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of site equipment and infrastructure while maintaining the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and compliance. Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair equipment faults, coordinating with external contractors when necessary.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance policies and procedures.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance programmes.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and conduct Health & Safety assessments.
  • Maintain accurate records to support regulatory compliance.
  • Review and manage service and maintenance contracts.
  • Perform quality inspections to ensure operational standards are met.
  • Monitor and control maintenance-related costs.
  • Oversee procurement activities and supervise external service providers.

Candidate Requirements
Essential:

  • Experience working in a regulated environment.
  • HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or relevant time-served apprenticeship in a similar discipline.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with regulatory audits.
  • Experience with PLC systems.
  • Working knowledge of CMMS platforms.
