Job Description

Diagnose and repair machinery and plant equipment, inclusive of conveyors, welding units, and overhead cranes.

Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting equipment to ensure optimal functionality, adhering to the maintenance plan and updating records accordingly.

Comply with safety regulations and standards to maintain a safe working environment.

Conduct safety checks, risk assessments, and implement measures to minimise hazards.

Maintain records of maintenance activities, including inspection reports, repair logs, and equipment performance data.

Ensure adherence to safe systems of work during all maintenance tasks, including COSHH assessments.

Collaborate with the team to coordinate maintenance activities and resolve complex issues.

Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates, discuss maintenance plans, and address concerns.

Identify opportunities to improve performance, energy efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Lead by example, promoting safe working practices by following procedures, adhering to safe systems of work

Fabricate and fit parts as needed for repairs or maintenance of plant equipment.

Assemble fabricated parts into complete units, ensuring proper alignment and functionality.
