We’re looking for a talented Data Visualisation Engineer to join our newly formed team of data experts. This is your chance to be part of a dynamic team that is redefining how we use data to deliver better outcomes for more people.

Location: Glasgow or Alderley Park (Wilmslow). Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office.

Role Overview

As a Data Visualisation Engineer you will take a lead role in creating reports, dashboards and data visualisations to help answer key business questions, solve business problems, and support decision making at all levels of the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the delivery of analytics and data visualisation initiatives as part of a wider team
  • Design and develop reports, dashboards, data visualisations and other analytics solutions
  • Gather and document data requirements, and support the creation of data assets required for analysis and reporting
  • Analyse data and communicate findings and insights to stakeholders to support informed decision making
  • Apply established data visualisation standards, best practices and governance requirements in all deliverables
  • Collaborate with team members to continuously improve reporting, dashboards and analytical outputs
  • Support testing, validation and quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of reporting solutions
  • Share knowledge and collaborate effectively with colleagues across the team and wider business

Qualifications

  • In depth understanding of data visualisation techniques and tools, such as Power BI
  • A broad understanding of analytics tools including SQL
  • Experience of applying data visualisation techniques to solve real world business problems
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills with the ability to effectively present complex technical concepts and results to people with a wide range of backgrounds and experiences
  • A proven track record in leading cross functional projects to a successful conclusion
  • Experience of mentoring and coaching more junior team members
  • The ability to work collaboratively and build good working relationships
