About the role

The Data Governance & Quality Analyst role supports the Data Governance & Quality Lead to implement our Data Governance Strategy through the creation of data quality standards and reports. Through that work, they will be required to work closely with Business and Functional areas to improve the quality and value of core data assets and support the strategic direction of this new function.

The goal is to make data trustworthy, accurate & accessible so that all areas of business can use it to evaluate and optimise performance. The role will support the embedding of the Data Ownership model and help to ensure that data quality errors are corrected and prevented.

About you

You must possess a solid understanding of information management techniques, such as information lifecycle management, data modelling, data visualisation techniques, conducting audits of data quality, and requirements gathering, in addition to a minimum of one year’s experience working in an information or data governance setting. It would be ideal if you had prior experience of data warehouses, synapse databases or other comparable data systems.

To effectively facilitate and document workshops, demonstrations, presentations, and meetings to either elicit or deliver information to an audience of all business levels, you must be well-organised, structured, and able to handle a variety of project documentation, keeping it current and up to date.
