Overview

Join us as a Data and Records Governance Manager. In this role you will strengthen the firm’s data governance framework across key business and regulatory priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective governance frameworks for all data and records across the bank’s global operations.
  • Monitor data quality and records metrics and ensure compliance with standards across the organization.
  • Identify and address data and records management risks and gaps.
  • Develop and implement a records management programme covering identification, classification, storage, retention, retrieval and disposal of records.
  • Develop and execute a data governance strategy aligned to the bank’s overall data management strategy and business objectives.
  • Provide group wide guidance and training on data and records management standard requirements.
  • Lead and coach a team, set objectives, and evaluate performance.
  • Collaborate closely with Business, Technology, Risk and Compliance stakeholders to support the identification of Critical Data Elements, design and operation of data quality controls, and delivery of end to end data lineage.
  • Engage with other functions and business divisions to influence and convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
  • Consult on complex issues, develop policies and procedures to support control and governance agenda.
  • Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls related to work performed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Critical Data Element (CDE) identification, including defining, documenting and maintaining CDEs aligned to business, risk and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong experience designing and implementing data quality controls, monitoring, issue management and remediation.
  • Practical delivery experience of data lineage, demonstrating traceability from source systems through transformations to reporting or consumption layers.
  • Experience with BCBS 239 principles in a banking or regulated environment (highly valued).
  • Strong background in data management and governance, including policies, standards, ownership and stewardship models.
  • Experience contributing to or leading projects and change initiatives that impact data, controls or regulatory outcomes.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to engage confidently across Business, Technology, Risk and Compliance.
